Los Angeles Lakers ( 42-37)  stay in playoff position with a big win. Bryant was essential with a rare performance

Kobe Bryant scored 47 points as Lakers stay in playoff position to have the last ticket. This night, Bryant played very well. In 48 minutes, the maximum allowed in a game without extra time, Black Mamba was able to help his team to win a crucial game.

Their playoff hopes survive, again, by a thread. Bryant believes in his playoff destiny. In this game, we have seen the best of Kobe Bryant.

Yeah I let you see Bryant’s figures during this key game against Blazers who play just for the pleasure, as they are unable to reach post season this year. Portland, missing the playoffs for the second straight season, has lost nine straight, the most since an 11-game skid in the 2005-06 season. This season , they were not enough efficient particularly with bench production.

Before the game, Bryant had never played all 48 minutes in a no extra time game on the road in his brilliant career. What a big accomplishment to help Lakers to survive ! Also, from Elias, Kobe’s performance is not ordinary. He is the first player in NBA history to finish a game with at least 47 points, 8 boards , 5 dimes, 4 blocks, and 3 steals.  (blocks and steals became official in 1973-74). Lakers need Bryant on the floor.

Bryant’s season-high 47 points carried the Los Angeles Lakers closer to a playoff chance with an important 113-106 victory over the  tenacious Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. The best rookie this year called Lillard with a big game  was pretty good but not enough to overcome the player of the night. The rookie sensation led the Blazers with a career-high 38 units.

Lakers’s goal is closer to come true after a very complicated season ruined by injuries of key players.

The Lakers moved a full game up on the tenacious Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot in the  thrilling Western Conference.

“We’ve got no breathing room at all. I’m still on edge. We’ve got to win three more games and we’re in. Bryant said after the game. His determination is an example for everyone this season.

Chemistry explained the story of the night, Dwight Howard was the first Laker to score a basket Pau Gasol assisted him very well.

Lakers’s Defense is not a bunker

At the End of the 1st Quarter, Blazers led 41 – 33. Mike D’Antoni found a way in order to change the story of the game. In the second half Lakers allowed Blazers to score only 37 units. In the first half Lakers were lost in defense, 69 units allowed , too much, too much to pretend to get a victory.

Los Angeles has also  his big three like South Beach to ruin opponents .This night, the trio was in good shape to move on together. Let’s the music play. It takes a little more to make a giant champion but Lakers unveiled a strong will to play together this night to get a win.

Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Dwight Howard combined for 90 points, their highest combined scoring output of the season. This mark surpassed 79 points the trio scored on October 31, 2012 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Dallas is officilay out to make a run in post season.

Dirk Nowitzki knew the end of a 12-season playoff streak was coming. Phoenix Suns hastened the arrival.

Tucker scored 17 points, including two big baskets to stop a Dallas rally in the last minutes, and the Suns eliminated the Dallas Mavericks from postseason  with a 102-91 victory on Wednesday night.

Their happy run of making the playoffs officially ended, writes Tim MacMahon.

Dallas was officially out a couple of hours later when the Los Angeles Lakers topped Portland 113-106. It’s the first time the Mavericks (38-40) have finished outside the top eight in the Western Conference since 2000.

Nowitzki was a second-year pro the last time the Mavericks were home for the postseason. He was left to wait to see what happened later Wednesday with the Lakers’ game in Portland.

“I mean, it didn’t look good for two or three weeks,” said Nowitzki, who had 21 points but was just 6 of 18 from the field. “It’s not like we had unbelievable high hopes for it. It’s not like our hopes were crushed tonight.”
